OUR STORY
From Nome, Alaska to Whitewater Lake, WI
When we moved to western Alaska we learned the invaluable skill of being good stewards of the land that provided bountiful berries, caribou herds, and runs of salmon only found in our dreams. We were blessed with dear friends who became our family and taught us how to process, preserve and value what the land provided. Those lessons are the root to our farming practices now - being good stewards of our land and preserving all it provides while also raising aggressively loved on chickens and heritage breed pigs. We believe in the power of local community and hope our farm can be the local source to nourish your family.

What is Feichin (Feh-keen) Farm?
Feichin, or "little raven" in Gaelic, gives respect to our time in Alaska where our family started while incorporating our Irish roots. The raven has a rich mythology for being a mischievous, yet necessary force who brought the sun, moon, stars, and life-giving resources like water, despite his sometimes selfish or clumsy antics.
At Feichin Farm, we are humbly learning how to do this whole farming thing and have had plenty of our own clumsy antics since 2021. Outside of mythology, the raven is considered an incredibly intelligent being - learning from experience and demonstrating advanced skills like complex problem-solving, tool use, and planning. We can only hope to embody the skills of the Raven and are grateful for the lessons it symbolizes.
